The 15th annual BAA 5K features an urban course that takes 10,000 runners past historic Boston landmarks and across the Boston Marathon finish line. In 2017, Ben True again set the American men's 5K record on this very course! The B.A.A. 5K serves as the first race of the B.A.A. Distance Medley, a three-race series that also includes June's B.A.A. 10K and October's B.A.A. Half Marathon.
Also scheduled on April 13 is the 15th annual BAA Invitational Mile. Top scholastic boys and girls from the cities and towns of the Boston Marathon course, as well as a field of professional male and female milers from around the world, take off in the B.A.A. Invitational Mile on marathon weekend. Bleacher seating at the finish line is free and open to the public.
Each Patriots’ Day, tens of thousands of participants come out to run the Boston Marathon—the oldest continuously running marathon in the world. An estimated 500,000 spectators line the streets from Hopkinton to Boston to support the participant, making the marathon New England’s most widely viewed sporting event.

The 6.2-mile course traverses the streets of Green Bay and Allouez each second Saturday in June. Running greats like Bill Rodgers, Joan Samuelson, Bruce Bickford, Ed Eyestone, Joseph Kimani, Uta Pippig, Tegla Loroupe, and other elite athletes and Olympians make the Bellin Run one of DMSE’s most prestigious runs.
Since 2003, the Eversource Walk for Boston Children's Hospital has raised millions of dollars to support the hospital's patient care and research. Come walk with us on Sunday, June 9, and give hope to these inspirational patients.

The historic all-uphill run draws thousands of runners from across New England, throughout the U.S., and from countries as close as Canada and as far away as Kenya, to make the grueling climb to the summit of the highest peak in the Northeast.

The Run to Home Base presented by Raytheon Technologies is a unique 9K run and 5K run/walk through scenic Boston ending with a once-in-a-lifetime experience of finishing the race by crossing Fenway’s famed home plate. The event supports our nation’s veterans and service members and helps raise much-needed funds for Home Base. Proceeds from the event will fund the clinical care provided to post-9/11 veterans, service members, and their families. Friends and family watch participants from the stands at Fenway, with food, entertainment, and fun family activities in the concourse of America’s most beloved ballpark.
Founded by Olympic Gold Medalist Joan Benoit Samuelson in 1998, the TD Beach to Beacon 10K Road Race, held in Samuelson’s hometown of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, has become one of the top 10K road races in the U.S. Samuelson retained Dave McGillivray and his team at DMSE to serve as the event’s Race Director and has since called McGillivray "the most organized and gifted race director in the world."
The ASICS Falmouth Road Race will celebrate its 52nd running this year when more than 8,000 runners gather in Woods Hole on August 18, 2024. Back-of-the-pack joggers share the road with the best, forming a tapestry of colors from the start on Water Street to the finish at the beach in Falmouth Heights. The Falmouth Road Race is one of the showcase events in American distance running and a major event during the summer on Cape Cod.

At Girls on the Run we inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through our research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the ten-week program, girls in 3rd-8th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event.

The B.A.A. Half Marathon, presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, highlights the beauty of Boston and Brookline's Emerald Necklace park system while furthering the Boston Athletic Association's mission of promoting health and fitness. The 13.1-mile, out and back, rolling course, begins and ends at White Stadium in Boston's Franklin Park. The park, one of the oldest in America, is located in Boston's Jamaica Plain and Dorchester neighborhoods.
