I've wondered from time to time: How is a run of 10 people different from a race of 10 people, as far as tracking results go, or official results and rankings?
Why are courses marked in miles instead of kilometers? Aside from marathons and halfs, many race distances are promoted in kilometers (5-K, 10-K, 15-K, et cetera). I train, as most runners do, on a 400-meter track, and all my training is done in kilometers. What’s with the hang-up on English measurements?
