RUN DISNEY

Tried an experiment at the Run Disney Dopey Challenge (5K, 10K, half, full marathon over three days) by doing a little run/walk, which I've never done. Trying to come up with a game plan for the World Marathon Challenge (7-7-7). For all the official marathons I have now run (148), I still feel like I have a lot to learn. Running a marathon changes as you get older and you have to learn new strategies. In the end, it all worked fine and I feel very good – did negative splits for all the races. Now we’ll see what tomorrow morning brings. If the experiment worked, then I'm hoping I'll feel like I didn’t run at all these past four days. Fingers crossed. If I am at all sore, then I’m doomed!! Eleven of my teammates running the WMC did the Goofy. It was fun finally running with them a little, too. My kids, Katie McGillivray, and her mother came, too. Ha, walked the Walt Disney World parks every day. Luke ran the 10K, which was awesome. Also ran with Josh Nemzer, Joan Benoit Samuelson, Christine Parker Bowen, Rich Harshbarger, and Massachusetts State Police Trooper Bill Coulter. It was the 25th anniversary of the Disney Marathon. Not as cold as Boston, but it was COLD for Florida!
