DMSE Events Overview

While DMSE manages and supports nearly 30 events a year, below are some of our largest or most significant events that we currently manage, or have managed in the past. Each event is unique and the logistics vary from one to the next. However, the planning process and timelines tend to follow a similar structure across the board.

Bank of America Boston Marathon

Each Patriots’ Day, tens of thousands of participants come out to run the Boston Marathon—the oldest continuously running marathon in the world. An estimated 500,000 spectators line the streets from Hopkinton to Boston to support the participants, making the marathon New England’s most widely viewed sporting event. DMSE Sports helps in supporting the athletes village, the start area, on course operations and the finish line.

Asics Falmouth Road Race

Seven miles of scenic shoreline course along the coast of Falmouth, MA, 7,000 elite and recreational runners together, an iconic after party, exciting on-course activations, DMSE Sports has proudly served as the race director for the Asics Falmouth Road Race since 2011. DMSE coordinates all event operations including course logistics, start & finish line management, event build, and more.

TD Beach to Beacon 10K

Roughly 8,000 participants cross the finish line in Cape Elizabeth, Maine each August in the annual TD Beach to Beacon 10K. DMSE is proud to have been the event’s official race director and worked side by side with Olympic gold medalist and race founder Joan Benoit Samuelson, since the inaugural run in 1998. The event features a 10K race, a kids fun run, a high school mile race, and an all-inclusive race for those of any ability.

lululemon 10K

The most epic run party around. The multi-city race series brings 10 kilometers of excitement, music, and all out fun to a new city every year. Guests can enjoy a one-of-a-kind post-race party complete with music, DJs, yoga & meditation, and exciting sponsor activations. DMSE Sports was brought on by lululemon in 2019 to manage all aspects of the 10K event operations. The 10K is headed to Miami in May, 2025.

lululemon FURTHER

A first of it’s kind ultramarathon. DMSE was brought on by lululemon to support the operations for the lululemon FURTHER event. 10 women ran consecutively for 6 days in an event aimed at science, research, and personal strength. The event partnered with the Canadian Sports Institute Pacific to conduct research on the affects of ultramarathon running on women’s bodies. DMSE was brought on to support with race operations, event build, and both front and back-of-the house venue management for all staff and runners on site. DMSE had a team working 24/7 around the clock with staff on site at all times. One of the most interesting and incredivle events DMSE has been involved in!

Head of the Charles Regatta

Thousands of rowers, coaches, family, friends, and spectators crowd around the Charles River each October for the iconic Head of the Charles Regatta. For three days, miles of the Boston riverfront are are crowded as folks come to watch the world’s best rowers. In 2024 DMSE Sports was hired on to handle and support venue build and management for the Head of the Charles Regatta.
