CHIP TIME V. GUN TIME

CHIP TIME V. GUN TIME

I recently ran a 10K in Houston. My chip time was fastest in the masters division, but another woman had a faster gun time. She was deemed the masters winner. I won the 45 to 49 division with a gun and chip time faster than the other competitors.

SECOND OVERALL WOMAN? OR FIRST MASTERS WOMAN?

SECOND OVERALL WOMAN? OR FIRST MASTERS WOMAN?

I am having a difficult time getting this question answered. Scenario: Second female to cross the finish line in a race is 43 years old.  Should she be awarded "Second Place Overall Women" or "First Place Masters Women" (when Masters are being separately awarded)?
