About 7,000 runners braved the frigid temperatures Thanksgiving Day morning to run the annual Feaster Five Road Race in Andover.

Temperatures in Andover dipped to 10 degrees early Thursday morning as racers prepared to hit the road, according to weather spotters in the area. Record low temperatures for Thanksgiving Day were broken in Worcester, Providence and Hartford.

The Feaster Five is one of the largest road races in Massachusetts and the largest Thanksgiving Day race in New England.

It typically draws about 10,000 participants, but Andover Police tweeted out this morning that the race drew about "7,000ish" participants.

Here's a look at what people were tweeting about the race this morning as they braved the cold.
